| GNTA and its affiliates (OSA, Paraprofessionals, Per Diem, & Adult Ed.) belong to an organization called the Long Island Teachers Benevolent Fund. One of the benefits offered by this membership is the opportunity for children of members of participating NYSUT locals to apply for a scholarship with a maximum award of $500. Applicants must be high school seniors who will be attending a post-secondary institution on a full time basis next fall. The criteria to be considered for this grant include academic achievement as evidenced by school transcripts, including photocopies of the student’s SAT scores and class rank or grade point average.
